Write Down Your Vision

I’ve heard it said often times before about the importance of not only having a vision for your life, but also writing it down. There’s something about writing it down that gives it weight and a certain sense of realness. Writing it is a proclamation that you know what you would like to accomplish and experience. The first step is acknowledging it and moving towards the goal. It has been shown that people who write things down, have more success in achieving those things. There is a certain sense of power in putting it down on paper and so I encourage you to think about what kind of vision you have for your life. Think about the spiritual goals you have personally and for your family, your financial goals, your career goals, and your health/fitness goals. Then separate those goals into what you want to accomplish in the next 12 months, in the next 5 years and over the next 20 years. Then write what your overall vision is for your life. And finally, write at least three specific things you want to accomplish in your lifetime. Do this and then run to take decisive steps towards the goal.

Proverbs 29:18 KJV – “Where there is no vision, the people perish”

Habbakuk 2:2-3 KJV – “2 And the Lord answered me, and said, write the vision, and make it plain upon the tables, that he may run that readeth it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

1. Write down the vision for your life.

2. Read and Reread your vision.

3. Recite your vision often.

4. Run with your vision by taking decisive steps towards the goal.
